Live streaming market is exploding and its internet traffic is expected to jump over 80% by 2020*. We do see a lot of potential in THETA. What makes it outmatch other existing live streaming platforms is that, it is decentralized and powered by users. I am happy that we are supporting such an innovative project. We look forward to onboarding more innovative projects which brings excitement to the market.
Andy Cheung, Head of Operations of OKEx
In order to support the mainnet upgrade of Theta Network (THETA), the depositing and withdrawal of THETA have been suspended on OKEx.com for implementing the mainnet swap. OKEx will handle all technical matters of the mainnet upgrade. The resumption time of THETA depositing and withdrawal will be announced in a further notice after the upgrade is complete.
OKEx will also support the Theta Fuel (TFUEL) airdrop
While Theta will be moving from the Ethereum blockchain to a new and self-developed blockchain, Theta Fuel (TFUEL), the operational token of the Theta protocol, will also be introduced to the market. The first distribution of Theta Fuel will happen during the Theta mainnet launch. OKEx will support this distribution:
1. Snapshot time:
The snapshot of users’ THETA balance will take place at Ethereum block height 7,356,258 (approximately 20:00 Mar 12, 2019 CET). Due to a large number of THETA holders, the snapshot will last for about 10 minutes.
2. Airdrop ratio:
The bonus will be distributed at 1 THETA = 5 TFUEL (THETA’s official announcement will be final)
3. Snapshot plan:
a. Accounts: Wallet and spot account
b. Users’ THETA amount in the wallet and spot account will be snapshotted.
c. Wallets and spot accounts with <10 THETA and THETA pending for depositing and withdrawal will be excluded from the snapshot. The THETA amount frozen for orders will be included in the snapshot.
